R.I.M. case study: It goes on wheels
One of the projects which Materialise and Röchling Automotive closely collaborated on, is a set of wheel arch liners for the new Volvo convertible C70 which was introduced to the market the end of 2005. For many years Röchling Automotive has developed and manufactured wheel arch liners (as a part of their technical plastic product range).
One for the road!
Renault Trucks has been a loyal Materialise customer for several years now, particularly the Cabin Research Department which internally utilises rapid prototyping technologies (e.g. stereolithography, RIM, vacuum casting). Many development projects have been realised with the help of the Materialise RP technology range.
The Krypton measuring system: a prototype ready to use
Materialise uses the R.I.M. technology to produce small series of production parts. This Rapid Manufacturing approach is especially useful for the production of metrical housings, as was the case for the Krypton K600-CMM measurement system.
