Nobel Biocare and Materialise Dental announced today that they have reached a settlement regarding the outstanding patent litigation between them.

Following this settlement, Nobel Biocare will take a license in several Materialise patents, including the patents at suit in Germany and the USA. Nobel Biocare will receive a non-exclusive worldwide license in the dental and cranio-maxillofacial field, according to Materialise’s patent (EP) 0 756 735 and US 5,768,134.

In return, Materialise Dental will receive payments from Nobel Biocare. The parties will not disclose the amount of payments.
