Tooth Supported SurgiGuide
For partially edentulous patients
A tooth supported SurgiGuide is a custom manufactured drill guide made for a unique and stable fit on the remaining teeth and guides the drill exactly to the planned position even if only 1 tooth is missing.
Perfect for minimal invasive surgery
Since all the planning has been done on beforehand, and the bone has been evaluated extensively, it is not neccesary to make a bone flap to insert the drill and the implants. A small punched hole through the mucosa is enough to position the implants accurately. The user needs to send a plaster cast of the pre surgical tooth situation to Materialise together with the SimPlant plan. Materialise will use both information to produce an accurate SurgiGuide that fits onto the teeth in a unique and stable way, and that transfers the implant planning into the real surgery. This procedure allows some limited scatter in the CT images from teeth fillings or brackets.
