May 2009 – Materialise hosted the Medical Implant Scanning and Manufacturing Workshop (May 11th) and the Rapid Implant Manufacturing Forum (May 13th) at the 2009 SME RAPID Conference.

Schaumburg, IL (USA), May 2009. Materialise offered a Medical Implant Scanning and Manufacturing Workshop and the Rapid Implant Manufacturing Forum (RIMF) at the 2009 RAPID conference in Schaumburg, IL. Attendance and enthusiasm was high for these exciting events covering the medical applications of RP.

The Medical Implant Scanning and Manufacturing Workshop was held on Monday, May 11, 2009 from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM. Over 30 people attended to learn about the process of producing custom implants using RP technology from a medical scan, to data preparation and FEA to printing parts and regulatory issues.
