Mimics Reveals the Secrets of Stradivari String Instruments
In the world of musical instruments, the name Stradivari is universally associated with the world’s greatest, most famous violin makers. The researchers in this case wondered what makes Stradivari instruments so unique. To find out, they decided to investigate the engineering features of 47 violins. They relied on Mimics and 3-matic to provide them with accurate distance, volume, density and thickness measurements. Winner op MIA 2009 - Category 3.
