RP technology for personalised one-off cars
For one of Zagato's exclusive projects, they partnered up with Materialise, who specialise in personalised manufacturing. This resulted in the use of RP technology for a personalised one-off car.
R.I.M. case study: It goes on wheels
One of the projects which Materialise and Röchling Automotive closely collaborated on, is a set of wheel arch liners for the new Volvo convertible C70 which was introduced to the market the end of 2005. For many years Röchling Automotive has developed and manufactured wheel arch liners (as a part of their technical plastic product range).
One for the road!
Renault Trucks has been a loyal Materialise customer for several years now, particularly the Cabin Research Department which internally utilises rapid prototyping technologies (e.g. stereolithography, RIM, vacuum casting). Many development projects have been realised with the help of the Materialise RP technology range.
Materialise, more than just a prototype supplier
Imagine that a tool gets damaged and you don't have the data available to repair or replace the part, you would probably need to shut down that production line for days or even weeks. By utilising the unique design and manufacturing skills at Materialise a spare part can be created in just 2 days.
Prototyped BMW Mini Cooper
Materialise pulled the sheet on a prototyped car that shows the unique solutions its Industrial Services & Software divisions can provide by joining forces. Being active in both the software and the rapid prototyping field gives Materialise the advantage to offer advanced, tailor-made solutions.
Car speakers for Philips, Belgium
Being involved from an early stage, Materialise provided the Philips engineers with extended quotes and technical support to optimise their car speakers' design for injection moulding.
