The use of simulation in healthcare has been proven to reduce medical errors, accelerate training, and ultimately result in reduced cost through enhanced patient care. Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) is a technique for repairing abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) that is effective and less invasive than open surgical repair. However, EVAR procedures are not without complications. Endoleaks or inadvertent covering of an aortic side branch are possible complications associated with the procedure. A method for performing a simulated EVAR procedure using patient-specific anatomy is investigated.
