Design for Additive Manufacturing with Wohlers Associates
with Olaf Diegel and Terry Wohlers
31 May – 2 June 2017, Belgium
Wohlers Associates and Materialise invite you to participate in a Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) course. This exclusive course is limited to 25 participants and provides training and hands-on learning to understand and practice methods of design for AM. It includes the consolidation of many parts into fewer parts, topology optimization, lattice, mesh, cellular structures and other methods of design for AM.
"I would definitely recommend this course to colleagues and hope it is made available in the future."
"The most useful was to learn when to use, and not use, Additive Manufacturing. The software overview on topology optimization and generating mesh structures was also great."
Program is subject to change.

Olaf Diegel, PhD
Olaf Diegel is an educator and practitioner of rapid product development and additive manufacturing. He has an excellent track record of developing innovative solutions to engineering problems. Over the past 10 years, Diegel has created more than 80 commercial products for theater lighting, security, marine, and home health-monitoring. He has a rare combination of experience in both conventional design and manufacturing and design for additive manufacturing (DfAM). This makes him one of very few people capable of leading hands-on learning and quality instruction on DfAM. He has designed and manufactured an impressive family of guitars that has captured media attention globally. AM is used as the core technology to produce the main body of these extraordinary products.
