Martin Saez September 25, 2017

Every day, I’m amazed by the applications that our customers find for 3D Printing. Here in Spain, I’ve worked with start-ups and multinational corporations, creating everything from exoskeleton casts to industrial machine components, and it’s the diversity of these applications that is remarkable to me. Our customers are champions of innovation, and that’s why I’m looking forward to putting them in the spotlight at IN(3D)USTRY next month — Spain’s biggest 3D printing event.

Featuring respected additive manufacturing companies from all over the world, this three-day event will focus on five sectors, including industries such as automotive, aeronautics, consumer goods, healthcare and industrial additive manufacturing. But above all, IN(3D)USTRY will be putting customer applications of 3D Printing in the foreground to really bring home how the technology is used in concrete ways. I’ll be representing Materialise. In accordance with this year’s focus, we’ll have a corner displaying how our customers are putting in 3D Printing into action. There you’ll find 3D-printed eyewear, 3D scanner systems for customization, footscan technology for customized insoles, production tools, and more.

Why I hope to see you at IN(3D)USTRY

Phits 3D-printed insoles

This event is going to be a great opportunity to learn about the latest innovations and practices in the 3D printing industry – the IN(3D)USTRY Arena will be filled with demos and software showcases allowing you to touch and explore everything from 3D-printed products which are on the market today to demos of cutting-edge 3D printing software. You’ll be able to design the perfect pair of glasses for yourself on Hoya’s Yuniku scanner, or test your running gait at RS Print’s runners’ lab. At our stand, I would love to introduce you to some of our own customers’ success stories, such as Philips Lighting who have realized cost savings of more than €89,000 a year.

You’ll also have numerous opportunities to network with professionals from the industry, including my colleagues. If you’ve run into any design issues or questions on integrating 3D printing into your workflow, this would be a great chance for you to learn from the experience of others and hear firsthand from the experts how they tackled 3D printing challenges, whether technical in nature or business-related. You’ll be able to meet myself and other specialists for an exclusive, one-on-one chat about any topic related to Additive Manufacturing. Just fill in this form to register!

Hear accounts from our customers, HOYA

You’ll also be able to attend talks given by our customer, lens manufacturer HOYA. Meet Felix S. España, Global New Media Manager of HOYA Vision Care, who will discuss Yuniku: a co-creation between Materialise and HOYA that introduces the world’s first vision-centric, 3D-tailored eyewear through means of a facial scanner. Find out more here.

Above all, you’ll be able to discover how far Additive Manufacturing has evolved and how the technology can fit your own business. I look forward to seeing you there!
