Tooling for market testing

In response to the desire expressed by consumers to have a quicker and more convenient way of dosing detergents, P&G made a first draft of a measuring cup. Before bringing it to the market, the P&G consumer research experts had to collect all possible quantitative or qualitative information that could be helpful to the product development people. It was beyond doubt that there could not be a more efficient way of getting the consumer in touch with the product than through prototypes. The link with Materialise was obvious… not in the least because the process had to be both time- and money-saving.

BERU f1systems proudly presented a prototype of their revolutionary Factor 001 bike to F1 legend Lewis Hamilton at the British Driver’s club awards. Materialise, leader in rapid prototyping and manufacturing (RP&M) solutions, produced the visual prototype for BERU f1systems using their patented Mammoth stereolithography and selective laser sintering machines to create a model which was fully representative of the final production bike.
