The XILVER- case

The company plans for a bright future for the display, architectural and entertainment lighting industries by revealing the Droplet, which is only the start of a range of innovative products.

3D printed in polyamide using Selective Laser Sintering at Materialise’s headquarters in Belgium, the Melonia shoe is truly wearable art. Despite its delicate skeletal look, it is surprisingly strong, and as five models were able to prove on the runway, can be functional as well.
Materialise hits the catwalk with Iris Van Herpen’s “Escapism”
Unveiled during haute couture week in Paris, Iris Van Herpen’s AW11 “Escapism” collection cemented her position as one of the fashion world’s most creative young designers. This was a truly mind-blowing collection, created in collaboration with architect Daniel Widrig and Materialise’s own .MGX label, with hats from Stephen Jones, and shoes from Rem Koolhaas’s “United Nude".
