With the "Eros" project, Materialise has established a new benchmark for its software. "Eros" evolved from the Rapid Jewel project (a GROWTH initiative by the European Commission). Our main objective was to develop and optimise workable methods for rapid prototyping and rapid tooling. It was a big success. Materialise expertly demonstrated it can digitise the entire prototyping process: starting from a scanned object over the creation of 3D and RP masters, to the tool design and the injection moulding of replicas of the original object.
